BMC Recruitment Group are currently recruiting a Bookkeeper for their client in Stockton to join their growing finance team……. Another new role for 2025!

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing the day-to-day bookkeeping activities across a portfolio of clients
  • Sales ledger including raising invoices and credit control
  • Purchase ledger including reconciling supplier statements
  • Processing and reconciling bank transactions
  • Preparing VAT returns
  • Preparing and posting journals
  • Making payments to suppliers and creditors
  • Checking and processing expense claims
  • Assisting with preparation of clients’ management accounts
  • Assisting in budgeting and cash flow forecasts
  • Payroll preparation and management
  • Liaising and working directly with a range of external clients
  • Providing administrative support internally to the company

You will need:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Experience in payroll preparation
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Be able to work on your own initiative and independently
  • Have good solid communication skills and confidence
  • Familiar with Xero software
  • Confidently use Sage Accounting and Payroll
  • Part Qualified AAT
