We’re Moving On up! BMC Recruitment is Expanding to a New Office
BMC are saying their goodbyes to their amazing views at Milburn House to move into The Racquets Court on the 1st April 2020, due to our continued growth.
We spent the previous four and half years in Milburn House, about a half mile away from our new location - our old office served us well, and we made great memories there, but we couldn't be more excited about our new space.
We are incredibly excited about our new office at the Racquets Court - it is bright, spacious, comfortable and welcoming. We enjoy larger workspaces, more meeting and conference rooms and, equally important, a prime location. The modern and larger office space gives us plenty of room for our existing staff and also room to grow and take on more people.
The Racquets Court was originally….err….a racquets court – a building in which people once played one of the oldest sports – Rackets. Rackets, also spelled Racquets, is a game once played with a ball and a strung racket in an enclosed court. Rackets is played with a hard ball in a relatively large court, unlike the related game of squash rackets, which is played with a soft ball on a smaller court. The game flourished in the 1860s and 1870s however during, and following, WW1 private courts closed and rackets play declined.
The Court sat untouched, derelict, for 25 years before its potential was realised in 2015 by Paul Miller & Mike Lowenstein, Co-Founders of Gavurin.
It has been an exciting five years for BMC, and we look at this new office as the start of another chapter in our history. We're still working on getting settled in and adding branding to the walls, but we're incredibly excited to be in the new space.
The new address will be The Racquets Court, College St, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 8JG.
